Undergraduate: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Regis University in Denver, Colorado

Graduate: Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Pacific Lutheran University in Parkland, Washington

Professional areas of interests:

ADHD, eating disorders, autism spectrum disorder, mood disorders, psychosis, PTSD, and anxiety disorders. She enjoys working with populations of all ages!

Are you fluent in Spanish?

No, but she recently completed a culture Spanish immersion program in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala.

Biography:

Kelsey Shumate is a psychiatric nurse practitioner from Fayetteville, Arkansas. She moved to Boulder, Colorado so she could pursue her favorite outdoor activities in the mountains and obtained a nursing degree from Regis University. She quickly discovered a passion for psychiatric nursing and moved to Seattle, Washington to be closer to family and pursue her doctorate in psychiatric nursing. She worked at an eating recovery center while studying at Pacific Lutheran University and in May of 2023 she obtained her doctorate of nursing. She decided to move to Wenatchee to be closer to her favorite hiking trails and climbing spots. She is thrilled to be a part of the CVCH family and the greater Wenatchee Valley Community.
