Biography:

Jac’lyn Bera, MS, Behavioral Medicine Intern, is an Associate Mental Health counselor who speaks English and is learning Spanish. She grew up in Price, Utah but more recently lived in Bloomington, Indiana where she was attending Indiana University – Bloomington. Jac’lyn is currently completing her psychology internship at CVCH for her PhD in School Psychology with a minor in Counseling Psychology. She previously attended Utah State University, where she obtained her Masters in Psychology in 2022. Jac’lyn is passionate about rural healthcare that applies an intersectional understanding of a person’s lived experiences and identities. She strives to help bridge gaps in rural mental health services with her training in diagnostic evaluations for mental health and neurodevelopmental disorders, applying culturally responsive practices to therapy and assessments, and building strong relationships with the communities she serves. She also has experience working with children, adolescents, and families in providing Cognitive Behavioral therapy services, and diagnostic evaluations for ADHD and Autism across all ages. 

 

Hobbies: (“What I do for fun”):

Jac’lyn enjoys spending time with her two dogs, and being outside gardening, hiking, or camping.
