Katie Stapleton, LMHC-A

Katie Stapleton is a doctoral intern completing her final year of her doctorate in clinical psychology. Katie grew up in Western Washington and moved to Spokane, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Whitworth University. After working in Applied Behavioral Analysis for two years, she moved to Los Angeles, CA to begin her doctoral program at Azusa Pacific University. Katie also earned her Master’s from APU. She works with all age groups, but is most passionate about helping children and their families. Katie has been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Brief Dynamic Therapy, and received an emphasis in Psychodynamic Therapy through her school.

Why did you choose to do your internship at CVCH?

I chose to do my internship at CVCH because I admire the integrative and comprehensive nature of care that they offer to the diverse community around them. The behavioral health team is made up of amazing clinicians and i'm excited to learn from them this year.
