Biography:

Kary Newman, LMHCA, is a clinical psychology doctoral intern completing her PsyD at Alliant International University in Sacramento, California. She holds a BA in Behavioral Science and dual MA degrees in General and Clinical Psychology, with a focus on trauma-informed and culturally responsive care. Kary is passionate about neurodiversity-affirming practice and making mental health treatment more accessible and empowering for underserved communities. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and brings warmth, creativity, and collaboration into her clinical work, with particular interests in relational therapy, identity development, and supporting clients through life transitions, and recovery from systemic harm. 

 

Hobbies: (“What I do for fun”):

Outside of work, Kary enjoys hiking, practicing yoga, playing drums and guitar, and exploring our National Parks.
