Autumn is interested in the intersections of trauma and alexithymia (as explored in her dissertation), and interventions associated with expressive writing, existentialism, meditation/mindfulness, somatic therapies, and narrative treatments. She is passionate about serving immigrant populations, LGBTQIA+ folks, women or people assigned female at birth, and specifically people who have experienced trauma. Their research also focuses on phenomenological insights of experiences of joy, chronic pain, and grief.
Biography:
Autumn Vick, LMHCA, is a Mental Health Counselor and Behavioral Medicine Intern who speaks English and is learning Spanish. Originally from Dallas, TX, she has lived in Pittsburgh, PA for the past five years. Autumn earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Point Park University in 2023, where she is currently completing her Doctor of Clinical Psychology with an expected graduation in 2026. Her clinical interests include the intersections of trauma and alexithymia, and she integrates expressive writing, mindfulness, somatic, existential, and narrative approaches into her work. Passionate about serving immigrant communities, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and survivors of trauma, Autumn also explores themes of joy, grief, and chronic pain in her research. In her free time, Autumn enjoys hiking, poetry, yoga, and quiet evenings with her partner and their three cats: Nora, Leda, and Enzo.

Autumn enjoys hiking, swimming, meditation, and yoga, as well as spending meaningful time with her family and friends. She has a deep love for poetry and philosophy (both reading and writing) and cherishes quiet moments with her partner and their three beloved cats: Nora, Leda, and Enzo.

Autumn was drawn to CVCH because of its commitment to integrated, trauma-informed care within a community health setting that prioritizes access, diversity, and social justice. The opportunity to work with underserved populations while receiving robust supervision and engaging in interdisciplinary collaboration aligns deeply with their values and long-term goals as a psychologist.
