Leah Spigelman, Psy.D., LMHCA (she/her/ella) is a Behavioral Medicine Consultant and Behavioral Medicine faculty training member who believes that by tending to the emotional, physical, social, and spiritual needs of a patient, she can cultivate a therapeutic environment for healing and growth. She earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Georgia and completed her M.S. and Psy.D in Clinical Psychology at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Her training has primarily focused on assessment and treatment of trauma, substance abuse, healthy lifestyle changes, pain management, and a range psychological concerns, creating a foundation upon which she builds her intrigue of holistic treatment for underserved populations. Leah’s clinical interests expand to mindfulness-based interventions, culturally informed treatment, and LGBTQ+ issues. In her free time, Leah enjoys being artistically and emotionally expressive through drawing, painting, writing, and collaging. She also takes joy in connecting with herself spiritually through mindfulness practices, such as meditation and yoga.
