Undergrad: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Goshen College-Indiana.

Name of Graduate School: Indiana University’s Graduate School of Nursing completed core graduate-level courses.  Walden University-Minneapolis Minnesota for completion of Master of Science in Nursing Degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner.  

Professional areas of Interest: These include mood disorders, substance abuse, integrative care, and broad mental health education to reduce individual and community stigma.

Biography:

Beverly Kaunda, PMHNP-BC, is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from South Bend, Indiana. Since becoming a nurse practitioner in 2021, she has practiced at the University of Notre Dame and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Organization. Before this, she worked as a nurse for two decades within diverse clinical settings, including geriatric, acute cardiac, travel, and mental health nursing. These collective professional experiences have led her to develop an understanding and passion for focusing on integrative medical and psychiatric patient care needs. Other interests include mood disorders, substance abuse, and proficient mental health education. She is honored to provide continued quality care to the residents of Chelan and surrounding communities with the support of CVCH’s organizational history of excellence.

My hobbies include traveling within the States and abroad, watching movies and classic films, and spending time with friends, family, and my cockapoo, Lacey. 

What attracted you to CVCH?

I was drawn to CVCH’s long-standing history of using servant leadership to empower the communities it serves toward holistic wellness. I look forward to learning from and collaborating with other experienced and dynamic healthcare professionals.
