Three New Medical Providers Join Columbia Valley Community Health

The Growing Health Care Clinic adds Three Providers to its Family Practice

Tuesday, September 15, 2015: Wenatchee, WA:  Columbia Valley Community Health (CVCH) welcomes three new providers to its family medical team.  Dr. Scott Lamb, Karen Kadas, and Dr. Richard Beukema are all accepting new patients at the CVCH Wenatchee clinic, located at 600 Orondo Ave.

New Medical Providers Join Columbia Valley Community HealthScott Lamb, MD is a family medicine physician born and raised in Wenatchee. Lamb graduated from Eastmont High School and completed his degree in biology at Central Washington University.  After graduating, Dr. Lamb fought wild fires for the Department of Natural Resources in the summers and made snow for Mission Ridge in the winters.  He started medical school at Ross University in the Caribbean and finished in Atlanta.  He completed his family medicine residency at University of Arkansas for Medical School in Fayetteville, AR. His love for general medicine brought him to CVCH where he is looking forward to serving the Wenatchee valley. 

New Medical Providers Join Columbia Valley Community HealthKaren Kadas, ARNP is a family nurse practitioner and transplant from east Tennessee.  Prior to completing her Master of Science in Nursing, Karen worked as an Environmental Engineer with the Department of Energy.  Kadas was drawn to the Pacific Northwest because of the scenery and outdoor activities, and to CVCH because of its mission.

“CVCH is a community of dedicated providers and staff who all believe, as I do, that everyone should have access to quality health care,” Kadas said. 

New Medical Providers Join Columbia Valley Community HealthThe third addition to the CVCH primary care team is Richard Beukema, MD.  A family practice physician, Dr. Beukema practiced for over eight years in Okanogan, WA where he was also medical director of Family Health Centers. Born in Paris, France, he moved to Massachusetts when he was nine. Beukema was a springboard and platform diver at Harvard College, spent time as an AmeriCorps member in the U.S. Virgin Islands, worked with at-risk teens in a wilderness intervention program in the Utah desert, attended Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, and then completed his residency training and an Obstetrics Fellowship at the University of Utah.  Dr. Beukema speaks Spanish and French is excited for the opportunity to care for patients in the Wenatchee Valley.

“I look forward to providing primary care to a population in need, joining an impressive team of providers at Columbia Valley Community Health, and being able to continue practicing obstetrics, all in the perfect place to integrate work, family and outdoor activities” Dr. Beukema said.
