New Faces at CVCH

Columbia Valley Community Health fills three key positions and welcomes two new employees to its team.  Marc Porter, Director of Information Technology (IT), Marta Johnson, Patient Access Manager, and Andrew Stewart, Director of Planning and Development, moved into their new positions in May 2013. 

New Faces at CVCHMarc Porter comes from Murray, UT but has been a Wenatchee valley resident for 15 years. Before accepting the Director of IT position at Columbia Valley Community Health (CVCH), Marc was the Network Support Specialist for the Eastmont School District for over 14 years. He is certified in Cisco Wireless, Microsoft Server Administration, Novell Networking and has his CNE, MCTIP and VCP.

“CVCH is an exciting high energy organization to work for,” Porter says. “They rely heavily on IT products and services, and I appreciate the new challenges that are in front of me.”

New Faces at CVCHMarta Johnson is the new CVCH Patient Access Manager, responsible for front office operations including scheduling, patient access and assistance programs. Marta’s hometown is Seattle, WA and she holds a BA in Pacific and Asian Studies from the University of Victoria, and an MPA in Nonprofit Management from the University of Washington. Before coming to CVCH, Marta worked for Grant County Integrated Services and the University of Washington Medical Center.

“I am thrilled to be working for an organization with such a wonderful mission and values,” Johnson says.  “This position is a perfect opportunity to marry my background in healthcare with my passion for nonprofit leadership.  My husband and I love the Wenatchee area and are looking forward to exploring all it has to offer.”

New Faces at CVCHMarta replaces Andrew Stewart who has transitioned into his new role as the Director of Planning and Development, responsible for project management, grant writing and marketing.  Andy is from Indianapolis, IN and received his BA from Indiana University and his MS in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University. Andy has been with CVCH since June 2011. Prior to being the Patient Access Manager at CVCH, he was the Patient Access Manager at a health system in Indiana (Parkview Health), and before that, an account executive for a travel exchange company.

“When I changed career paths to healthcare five years ago, I dreamed of working for an organization like CVCH,” Stewart says.  “Being a part of this team has given me the opportunity to serve those in our community most in need while also fostering professional growth.”
