Columbia Valley Community Health’s Annual Back to School Health Fair
Free backpacks and school supplies for school-aged children
Monday, July 25, 2016: Wenatchee, WA: Columbia Valley Community Health (CVCH) is holding its annual Back to School Health Fair on Saturday, August 6 from 9am – 12pm in the parking lot of its Wenatchee clinic, located at 600 Orondo Ave. CVCH will provide 1,000 free backpacks to students entering grades K – 12. Children must be present to receive a backpack.
All are welcome to attend this free, family event which celebrates National Health Center Week (August 7 – 13, 2016), a national campaign meant to raise awareness about America’s Health Centers. Once students receive their backpack, they can cross Alaska Street to the playground of Columbia Elementary, where there will be free school supplies, interactive games, and education about CVCH programs and other community resources.
School supplies are provided by funding from the North Central ESD Educational Foundation and the NCESD staff fund. Support for this year's event comes from athenahealth and Molina Health Care. For more information about the Back to School Health Fair, contact Kirsten Myers at 509.662.6000 x1148.
