Melissa Fowler DNP-FNP, MSN, is a family nurse practitioner from Wenatchee. Melissa's education journey took her through Brigham Young University School of Nursing for her undergraduate studies, the University of Utah School of Nursing for her graduate degree, and Gonzaga University School of Nursing for her Doctorate of Nursing Practice. Melissa is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Melissa’s professional interests include reproductive health, gender health, urology, lifestyle medicine, nutrition, pharmacology, and patient education.

With over two decades of experience in labor and delivery and acute care nursing, Melissa has witnessed the wonders of life and the resilience of the human spirit. However, Melissa's true passion lies in education. For more than 17 years, she has been molding future healthcare heroes, nurturing over 1000 nursing students and empowering them to conquer their professional dreams. She loves explaining complex concepts in memorable ways, whether it's to her students or patients.

When she's not immersed in textbooks or listening to medical podcasts, Melissa explores her hobbies with gusto. She's a creator and connoisseur of diverse and exotic cuisines, always on the lookout for hidden gems in the culinary world. She appreciates dance in all forms, sweats it out in fitness classes, indulges in desserts she crafts, competes on Duolingo, enjoys concerts with family and friends, and enjoys creative writing. Quality time with her four children is precious to her. Melissa finds solace in nature, whether it's hiking through the hills or running on the Apple Capital Loop Trail in beautiful Central Washington. She actively participates in her church community.

Melissa chose to join CVCH because she was inspired by their noble mission to serve the underserved. Every day, she wants to feel that she's caring for patients who need that extra helping hand. CVCH's commitment to the community she loves resonates deeply with her. Melissa eagerly attends health fairs, mobile clinics, and community service events, promoting health and wellness for all community members. Actively growing in Spanish (mas o menos), Melissa is ready to care for diverse communities without barriers to compassionate care.
