This new space will boast almost 3,000 square feet of pharmacy and waiting room areas, allowing more patient seating and a child play area. In addition to its easily accessible location next to the walk-in clinic, the new pharmacy will provide a drive-thru window for convenient prescription pickup. Inside the pharmacy, new automation robotics will count, bottle, label and cap the most common medications for pharmacy staff. This new technology will free up staff to allow them to spend more time assisting patients.
The open design will also give staff better visibility to see patients, and a multifunctional pickup/drop-off window at the center will eliminate patient confusion around which window to go to for help. The new clinical pharmacist office will provide space for the pharmacists to continue managing anticoagulation therapy and to provide future medication therapy management services.
