New Director and Providers Join Behavioral Health Program

Integrated Health Clinic adds three new providers to meet the growing need for behavioral health services

Monday, September 28, 2015: Wenatchee, WA:  Columbia Valley Community Health (CVCH) is pleased to announce that it has hired three new providers for its behavioral health services team as well as a new Behavioral Health Director. Welcome Dr. R. Alex Padilla, ARNP, CARN-AP, CRNI, Nora Bloomingdale, LMHC, Crystal Fickey, LSWAIC, and Timothy Hoekstra, MS, MBA, LMHC, ACS.

New Director and Providers Join Behavioral Health ProgramDr. R. Alex Padilla started in July as the clinic’s second family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and is seeing patients in the Behavioral Medicine department in Wenatchee. Dr. Padilla is board certified in addictions and graduated with his Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Rutgers University in New Jersey, where he was raised.

New Director and Providers Join Behavioral Health ProgramNora Bloomingdale is the first Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Behavioral Medicine psychology program at CVCH.  Originally from Chicago, IL, Bloomingdale received her Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in Schaumburg, IL. She has trained in psychiatric hospitals, long-term residential mental health facility programs, and community mental health organizations, and before joining CVCH, completed her APA-accredited internship at a psychiatric hospital in Kentucky.

New Director and Providers Join Behavioral Health ProgramCrystal Fickey is the newest provider to join the Children’s Behavioral Health team at CVCH. A Licensed Social Worker, Fickey received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Long Beach, and her Masters of Social Work from California State University, Sacramento.

New Director and Providers Join Behavioral Health ProgramIn August, Timothy Hoekstra was hired as the Behavioral Health Director, a new position that will oversee the Behavioral Medicine and Behavioral Health departments at CVCH.  Hoekstra has 27 years of experience working within the mental health and health care industries. Hoekstra is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who hails from Redding, CA, and received his Masters in Counseling Psychology at Eastern Washington University. He also holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix, with a concentration on Health Care Executive Leadership.  Timothy maintains a national certification as an approved clinical supervisor, and previously held state and international certifications as an advanced alcohol and drug counselor.  Timothy is also an active member of the American College of Health Care Executives.
