Columbia Valley Community Health is hosting a series of enrollment events for anyone who needs assistance enrolling in the state healthcare exchange, known as the Washington HealthPlanFinder, before the March 31 open enrollment deadline. The remaining three Saturday enrollment events will be held March 15, 22 and 29 from 9am – 4pm at the CVCH Wenatchee Clinic, located at 600 Orondo.  This community service is free and open to anyone, not just patients of CVCH. Marlen Mendez, Outreach Manager at CVCH, is heading up these efforts and wants people to know help is available before the deadline.

“We know it’s been frustrating to navigate the healthcare exchange application process and the *Apple Health renewal process,” Mendez said, “but CVCH is here to help community members through it. If you haven’t started the application or you’ve started the process at home and got stuck, we’re here to help! The last day to enroll is March 31st so take advantage of our community events in order to have the peace of mind that your family is covered.”  (*Apple Health formerly known as Medicaid)

Trained in-person assistors from CVCH will help individuals through the enrollment process. This assistance will be available on a walk-in basis. Individuals enrolling are required to bring the following information:

  • Identification Documentation (ID Card, Green Card, Naturalization Certificate or US Passport)
  • 2012 or 2013 Tax Return
  • Social Security Cards for everyone applying
  • Dates of Birth for everyone included on 2012 or 2013 taxes

If any of this information is missing, individuals will not be able to complete the enrollment process.  The Washington healthcare exchange is an online marketplace where users can compare and enroll in quality health insurance plans.
