Biography:
Sarah MacKay, MD, MHS, is a board certified pediatrician and native Washingtonian. She fell in love with the Columbia Valley as an undergraduate at Central Washington University and is returning to the area after completing graduate school at Boise State University and medical school, residency, and a Chief residency at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, WI. Dr. MacKay enjoys caring for children of all ages and creating partnerships with parents and families to optimize child health. She has special interests in advocacy, health literacy, sports medicine, dental health and caring for medically complex children. In her free time, Dr. MacKay enjoys being a mother to her three young children and spending time outdoors being active with her family.
Hometown: Tacoma, WA
Hobbies: I love spending time with my husband and children and we have a lot of fun outdoors - hiking, biking, swimming, skiing/sledding in the winter, etc. Inside, we like to experiment with cooking and baking and trying new things.
What attracted you to CVCH?: Their mission and vision statements of providing high quality and innovative care through partnerships and inclusivity really struck me. I entered medicine to serve and be a partner in my community and CVCH has a clear dedication to service and community engagement.
