Dr. Misha Whitfield (They/Them) is a licensed psychologist, who at CVCH serves a dual role as Associate Behavioral Medicine Wenatchee Director and Director of Clinical Training for two formal training programs, the Doctoral Internship and Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Health Service Psychology. Dr. Whitfield is a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. As a provider, Dr. Whitfield works with patients of all ages, but especially enjoys working with adolescents, couples, and families within CVCH’s Integrated Primary Care model. Their approach to treatment is integrative and involves the whole-person care. They have special interest in the attachment theory and other approaches and psychological treatments that are focused on the importance of relationships. They are also a Provider Coach. In that role, they work closely and collaboratively with medical providers and other providers to help them improve performance and increase job satisfaction. They provide trainings and coaching to staff on topics, such as communication, conflict resolution, team building, and stress management at work. Dr. Whitfield is known for their warm and engaging but also direct style in their clinical work, and in supervision and coaching. In their spare time, they enjoy cooking, video games, gardening, yardwork, and spending time with friends and especially their amazing wife, pets, and farm animals.

What attracted you to CVCH?
Dr. Whitfield came to CVCH in 2010-2011 for their doctoral internship. When they finished their training year, they knew they wanted to continue working at CVCH. They chose CVCH for their diverse population and integrated model. The strong relationships between medical, dental, and behavioral health enables positive changes in our patients lives. CVCH believes in their mission which lines up with Dr. Whitfield’s values and beliefs.
