PGY2/3:
Residents will have a fully integrated longitudinal curriculum during their second and third years. Residents will have a full panel of continuity patients and ample outpatient clinical experience at CVCH. CVCH is a progressive community health center with a fully-integrated EMR and our services include medical, dental, and behavioral health. We are early adopters of the Patient Centered Medical Home and integrated behavioral health and are accredited by the Joint Commission.
Residents will also take call at the Lake Chelan Community Hospital (LCCH) one day per week and every fourth weekend. These will be 24 hour call shifts taken from home. Residents will be involved with anything that comes into the local hospital including trauma calls, all hospital admissions (adults and peds), and OB admissions and triages.
This innovative longitudinal curriculum will allow residents to have better continuity both in clinic and in other clinical settings including OB, inpatient, and assisted living facilities. It will also allow residents to better experience what life is like as a practicing physician. This curriculum caters to engaged, independent adult learners and will allow greater flexibility with electives and special interests/projects.
Residents will have 8 weeks of elective per year. They will have 21 days of vacation per year.
