What is a Family Medicine-OB Provider?

An FM-OB is a Medical Doctor, who is trained in general health and wellness as well as pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum care. You may continue to see your FM-OB provider after delivery for primary care and they can also be your baby’s doctor.

What is a Certified Nurse Midwife?

A certified nurse midwife (CNM) is educated and skillfully trained in both nursing and midwifery. CNMs offer primary healthcare for women providing well-woman care, reproductive and gynecologic health care, family planning and preconception care, prenatal care, childbirth and postpartum care as well as newborn care.

Where Will I Have My Baby?

Our maternity patients being cared for by our Wenatchee or East Wenatchee team will have their babies at Confluence Health Central Campus (previously known as Central Washington Hospital). Our maternity patients being cared for by our Chelan Maternity team will have their babies at Lake Chelan Hospital. Regardless of where you choose to receive your care, our providers support a birth experience that is safe while considering the needs and desires of each individual person and their family.
