CVCH Maternity is made up of highly trained medical professionals. We use a team of Certified Nurses Midwives with Family Medicine-OB providers.
What does Maternity Care include?
- Prenatal care from the first sign of pregnancy
- Regular office visits and check-ups
- Optional screenings to address individual medical issues
- Personalized labor/delivery experience
- Post-partum check-ups for mom and baby
- Treatment for post-partum depression and family planning available
- Lactation/nursing consulting available upon request
What is a Family Medicine-OB Provider?
A FM-OB is a Medical Doctor, who is trained in general health and wellness as well as pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum care. You may continue to see your FM-OB provider after delivery for primary care and they can also be your baby’s doctor.
What is a Certified Nurse Midwife?
A certified nurse midwife (CNM) is educated and skillfully trained in both nursing and midwifery. CNMs offer primary health care for women providing well-woman care, reproductive and gynecologic health care, family planning and preconception care, prenatal care, childbirth and postpartum care as well as newborn care.

Our patients have their babies at Confluence Health Central Campus (previously known as Central Washington Hospital). CVCH Maternity providers support a birth experience that is safe while considering the needs and desires of each individual person and their family.
