Name of Medical/Graduate School: Rush medical college

Alicia Adams, MD chose to go into family medicine because she loves the variety and has so many passions, but she especially enjoys helping with transitions - adolescents to adulthood (and college!), new parents to life after baby, families with aging family members, and the management of stress and mental health problems that come along with life changes.

Alicia Adams, MD is a family physician who grew up in Waukegan Illinois and is the first in her family to go to college. She studied biology and health inequality at Brown University. She went to medical school in Chicago and completed her rotations at Cook County Hospital where she first fell in love with family and community medicine. She completed her residency in Grand Junction, CO and loved the mountain scenery and knew she needed something similar for work, which led her to CVCH. She chose family medicine because she loves the variety and has so many passions, but she especially enjoys helping with transitions - adolescents to adulthood (and college!), new parents to life after baby, families with aging family members, and the management of stress and mental health problems that come along with life changes.
