Alicia Kelso, Certified Nurse Midwife, has trained in Wenatchee and Seattle as a midwifery student where she learned the value of physiologic, low- intervention labor and birth. She recently completed her Masters of Nursing with a specialty in Certified Nurse-Midwifery at Frontier Nursing University. She obtained her undergrad nursing degree from Montana State University and Wenatchee Valley College. As an RN, Alicia worked in acute care for a few years, and then began work in an obstetrics unit where she cared for both high and low-risk women in labor and delivery. She completed her registered nurse certification in inpatient obstetrics and worked in labor and delivery for Central Washington Hospital.
Alicia has been a Wenatchee native for the past 15 years. She enjoys working with women of all ages, particularly supporting women during labor and birth, helping the woman to have the individualized experience each woman needs. Alicia provides reproductive and preventive care with an emphasis on education, helping women take ownership in their health.
Hobbies: Spending time with family and friends, running, hiking, backpacking, skiing, gardening and travelling.
What attracted you to CVCH?
The opportunity to work with a diverse cultural population, and the ability to provide midwifery services to women and their families in the Wenatchee Valley.
