Originally from the Seattle area, Jen relocated to the Wenatchee Valley in 2010. Jen was drawn to the beautiful weather, sunshine, and innumerable outdoor activities to enjoy in the Valley through every season. Jen sought employment with CVCH after having many positive interactions with CVCH employees out in the community and noticing the successful business model that CVCH had been implementing, demonstrating opportunities for growth and development.
Jen graduated Cum Laude from the University of Washington in 2003 with her BA in Psychology. In 2005, she received her MA in Mental Health and Behavioral Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine. Jen worked at South Boston Collaborative for her internship, focusing on counseling for teens with behavioral and addiction issues. Following graduation Jen worked as a Health Educator for the University of Washington’s Innovative Programs Research Group, studying therapeutic interventions for addiction. Later she worked for Ruth Dykeman Youth and Family services as an individual and family therapist providing chemical dependency and mental health counseling for teens and their families. Most recently, Jennifer has worked for SAGE in Wenatchee, specializing in trauma, particularly domestic violence and sexual assault victimization.
Recently Jen was selected as one of the Wenatchee Business World’s “30 Under 35,” an award that recognizes outstanding young leaders in the Wenatchee Valley. Outside of work, Jen enjoys spending time with her husband and her family in Seattle, particularly her 3 nieces and nephew. Jen also enjoys coaching soccer for the Wenatchee Fire FC and hitting the trails for jogging, hiking, and skiing or any outdoor activity depending on the season. During the summer, you’ll find Jen enjoying the sunshine in Lake Chelan.
