Ivonne Garcia is a strength based bilingual therapist, and has more than 7 years of experience working in mental health in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Most of her practice and career has been primarily working with adults struggling with mood disorders, depression, anxiety, and complex trauma, as well as personality disorders. Ivonne has worked with victims of crime, as well as working with youth struggling with first episodes of psychosis. The last two years, she worked as a child and family therapist at a non-profit behavioral health agency. Ivonne has broad experience working with adults, teen, and families from varied backgrounds and ages. Ivonne is a strength-based therapist that uses a variety of evidence-based modalities to meet the patient’s needs. Ivonne has been trained and certified in EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Common Elements Treatment Approach (CETA). Ivonne enjoys working with adults and teens. She has experience working with complex trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, stresses management, self-esteem, transitions, and adjustments.
