Area of Practice/Specialty: I have specialized training in integrated mental health services, pediatrics, foster youth, neuropsychology, family studies, whole-person care, and health psychology. 

Abigail Shepherd, Ph.D., LMHC is a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Behavioral Medicine Department at CVCH. Originally from Los Angeles, CA, she earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Fuller School of Psychology in Pasadena, CA. She has a special interest in whole-person care, which drove her passion to also obtain a Masters in Theology and work in settings that strive to integrate services across mind, body and spirit. She has conducted research in the areas of positive psychology and thriving which impacts her approach to patients with a unique perspective towards strengths-based treatment. She seeks to understand the complexities of human behavior in the context of health psychology from an attachment-based perspective. 


For fun, she enjoys hiking, calligraphy, live theatre, playing with her dogs, volunteering and reading.
